Steve Gordon the inventor and founder of INSTANT-OFF was determined to make a difference in the world. After years of thinking about how he could help protect the environment, he decided to focus on water conservation.
In 1991, he invented the Automatic Faucet Control, a simple pressure valve with two moving parts that automatically shuts-off water. Gordon was determined to keep modifying the design until it was durable, reliable and strong enough for commercial use.
INSTANT-OFF now manufactures 12 different INSTANT-OFF Water Saver Faucets and a product line of adapters. There are more than 500,000 INSTANT-OFF now used in the food industry to conserve water and reduce cross-contamination and over 2, million used in homes. In addition, people with hand disabilities, arthritis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and many other conditions enjoy the ease of controlling water with the INSTANT-OFF. It all began with a goal of doing something on a global scale to help protect the environment.
