Beginning of the journey:
The journey will start at night by train. The train fare is comparably lower and it is also a comfortable journey. Train Name is ‘Upaban Express.’ The Sylhet tour journey will start from the Kamalapur railway station, Dhaka at 10.00 pm. The next day at 5.00 am, the train will arrive at the Sylhet railway station, Sylhet.

Sylhet Tour (First Day):
After arriving at Sylhet, at first we have to hire a ‘Local Leguna’ car for two days at around 4500 to 5000 taka. After hiring the leguna we have to go to the ‘Shahjalal Mazar’ area where most of the hotels are situated. Then we have to hire hotel rooms. For 8 people, we can rent 2 rooms. Each room can cost around 2000 to 4000 according to their condition. One can hire hotel rooms online before the tour also.
Then we will have our breakfast from the great ‘Pachbhai’ or ‘Pansi’ restaurant. The famous ‘Akhni’ and ‘Khichuri’ from the ‘Pachbhai’ restaurant are the most suggestable for me. After breakfast, we will go to ‘Malnicherra Tea Garden’. It is the oldest tea garden in the subcontinent. We can visit the tea garden along with the rubber garden for around 30-40 minutes.
Then we will go to the beautiful ‘Ratargul Swamp Forest’. The boat fare at Ratargul will be around 100-200 taka per person. Here we can travel for around 1 to 1.5 hours. After enjoying Ratargul, we will jump through the ‘Bholaganj’ to see the refreshing ‘Sada pathor River’. At Bholaganj, we need 100 takas each for the boat fare. We can bathe in the cold and freshwater of the Sada Pathor River. Our first-day tour will end after seeing these 3 beautiful sights of Sylhet. Then we will come back to our hotel. At night we can walk and see the ‘Hazrat Shahjalal Mazar’. The day-1 of our Sylhet tour ends here.
Sylhet Tour (Second Day):
On day-2, we will have our breakfast first. Now our first destination will be ‘Lalakhal’. Lalakhal is a beautiful and soothing place to enjoy ourselves. Here we have to hire a trawler at around 200-300 taka per person. After passing around 1.5 to 2 hours we will take our lunch from any local restaurant. The rice-duck platter is a famous item in Sylhet.
After lunch, we will start our journey through ‘Jaflong Zero Point’. At zero point, we will see the Indian Border also. Here at Jaflong, another place is seen which is named ‘Songrampunji Fountain’ or locally ‘Mayabi Fountain’. From zero point it will cost around 50-100 taka each to reach there by boat. The fountain is very beautiful. Then we can visit the ‘Khasia Polli’ to see the livelihood of the ‘Khasia’ people. After enjoying Jaflong, we will come back to Sylhet city.
If we have time, we can visit ‘Fire Hill’ or ‘Agun Pahar’ also. After backpacking our luggage and taking our dinner, we will come back to Dhaka city in Upaban Express again which will start back journey at 11.30 pm. We will reach Dhaka at 6.00 am at the next day.Shorten with AI
