The UAE, which already owns the world's tallest skyscraper ‘Burj Khalifa’ and has undertaken a daring Mars expedition (The Hope Mars mission), now strives to become a trendsetter in the Metaverse.

The announcement was made on September 28th during the Dubai Metaverse Assembly by UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, who stated, "This is not a proof of concept, this is our third address," before offering a live tour of the virtual headquarters.

The new headquarters will allow the ministry to expand its digital services following directives from UAE leadership. The location will complement the ministry’s two existing offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, making it easier for the ministry to provide digital services to its constituents.

Visitors to the virtual headquarters will be able to sign legally binding documents, which eliminates the need for signatories to visit one of their physical locations in order to provide their signatures.

The headquarters also contains an auditorium that can facilitate virtual conferences and other events. It also has meeting rooms that allow users to share a screen, so they can collaborate more efficiently.

In an interview, Al Marri said, "We trained our employees to familiarize themselves with the Metaverse, to use it and engage with the Gen Z that is coming,".

Dubai intends to lure 1,000 blockchain and similar technology companies in its effort to become one of the world's top ten Metaverse economies, which will be aided by relaxed immigration regulations for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and creatives.

The coronavirus pandemic has pushed more people into the online world, and according to Al Marri, this has accelerated the trend. He said that before the pandemic, people thought that the Metaverse was a “phase technology” that might take 10 to 20 years to emerge, but Covid-19 has immersed us so fast and expedited the use of the Metaverse.

The United Arab Emirates has already introduced laws governing virtual assets as well as regulatory bodies for cryptocurrencies. By welcoming major crypto exchange platforms, the UAE is continuing to show its support for the digital currency industry.

On another note, Clarisco Solutions, a Metaverse Development Company, has been creating quite a buzz since its venture in the virtual arena. With quite a few Metaverse, Crypto, and Blockchain projects in hand, Clarisco has established itself as one of the frontrunners in the tech industry.

“We have been working on next-gen projects for a few years now and it is great to see clients around the world recognizing our products and efforts. Our team has put their everything into the making of these solutions. And the good news is, we are planning to expand our company to new time zones now”, said Pooja, Senior Business Analyst, at Clarisco Solutions.

A big part of the Metaverse is that it's an altered reality. This begs the question - are humans comfortable enough with the idea of living in an alternate world or being somebody else? With Big Tech firms like Nvidia and Microsoft jumping on the Metaverse bandwagon, the day when this virtual reality becomes a part of our daily life is not that far away!
