Bluewater's growth reached a significant milestone in 2016 when the company relocated to larger premises at Clifton Moor Retail Park, substantially increasing their showroom space to accommodate more extensive kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom displays. This move has established Bluewater as York's largest independent home interiors showroom.
"The larger showroom has been transformative for both our business and our customers," explained Lount. "It allows visitors to experience the quality and style of our installations firsthand, making it easier to envision how similar designs might work in their own homes. This tangible experience is something that simply can't be replicated through online browsing."
A key factor in Bluewater's success has been its focus on managing every aspect of the renovation process. Unlike many competitors who outsource various elements of installation, Bluewater's in-house team handles everything from plumbing and building work to joinery, tiling, plastering, and electrical work—providing customers with a single point of contact throughout their project.
This comprehensive approach has proven particularly valuable for more complex renovation projects and for the company's growing assisted living division, which specialises in creating accessible home environments for clients with mobility challenges.
