A Great Start In The Year And The Parade Of Success Continues For This Ski Racer

Daisi Daniels is not a new name in the arena of international ski racing. While the British teenager could be the next big thing in the intercontinental tournaments, she has a lot of things to share with her supporters.

2016 seems to be a good year for Daisi Daniels, the powerhouse teenaged ski racer from Rochdale. Daisi’s ski season in the year kick-started with a golden glow, and back home in the winter, she is busy attending school and preparing to create the magic again in the upcoming GBR International Children’s Race, which is scheduled at Andorra in the next year. Also, she has been chosen for under-16 team. Previous year, she got an opportunity to participate in the under-14 category and the team stood 3rd overall.

The young Ski racer started her career quite early. In fact, she started skiing for the first time while on a family holiday. She was barely 5 then. Daisi recounts the time as a week of pure fun with relations and friends. In fact, she was reluctant to put on the ski boots but on persuasion, she would give it a try. At the end of the day she would not take off her boots, because she wanted to ski more and more.

Daisi seems to have more than a reason to develop a passion for skiing. First of all, she loves the very feeling of freedom that comes with ski racing. Moreover, the sport gives her an adrenaline rush which, she believes, very few activities can give her. The excitement just gets high when she skis really fast, paving her way to success. Both the feel and the speed, Daisi admits, are all very exciting to her.

Representing the UK on a prestigious international event like GBR International Children’s Race is indeed an important milestone in Daisi’s life. When asked about her aspirations in the tournament, the youngster chirped that she feels brilliant by all means! It is both an honour and pride for her to wear the GBR uniform and flying the Union Jack! Daisi strives to serve her country in the best way she can, and is working hard to make things happen.

Apart from participating in international events, Daisi wishes to try her stint at the Interschool’s race as well. It remains her dream to bring a hoody for the headmaster of the Beech House School in Rochdale, the institution that has been sponsoring the education for long. This, Daisi believes, will be her tribute to him for accommodating her in every possible ways.

Skiing has been a rewarding experience for the youngster in many other ways-as she points. For anything else, it has given her the opportunity to make new friends and meet some really great people. Plus, it has given her the chance to travel across the length and breadth of Great Britain, as well as in many countries of Europe, even Canada with skiing. The sport has moreover made her more confidant and independent. Earning proficiency in foreign languages like French and German also comes as incentives.

However, the Ski racer also points that to season herself more to the game, it requires extensive training, collecting exclusive sports gears and of course, lots of travelling. This all, as she directs, requires huge funding. It is obvious that sponsorships that come in any form are of immense importance to her. Anyone desiring to sponsor Daisi can check her website and also stay updated about her career development through her blogs.
Before signing off, the Rochdale skier had a little piece of advice to share with all who want to get started. Keeping up with the practice is the key to success. This is an aspect that one should never give up. Coaches have a look of tips to share with all in due course of training. So skiers should always listen to their coaches and last but not the least, have fun while skiing because it is a fun activity, after all!
