Apart from increasing the number of feathers on her crown with each year that passes by, Daniels has also caught the notice of the ace ski racers for a number of reasons.

Rochdale’s own pocket-size powerhouse, Daisi Daniels, might be busy attending school right now, but she will heading back to training in a few weeks. With the summer training going excellent, Daisi is now all geared up to make it big in the forthcoming GBR International Children’s Race, scheduled in Andorra in the next year.

Daniels, who is on her early teens now, started skiing at a tender age of 4. Since then there has been no looking back for her. In fact, her present coach is quite confident of the fact that Daniels is fit to compete in the winter Olympics in very near future and that he would allow her going there right at the moment she would be mentally prepared for it. Daisi’s confidence has also been backed by Chemmy Alcott, who has been in the Olympics consecutively for four times and also boasts of grabbing the senior British National championship for five times!

With her experience and expertise in ski racing, Alcott surely knows what it takes to become a champion in the true sense, and she bets that this season, it’s on Daisi that she will keep her eyes on, as the pint-sized Ski Racer is indeed the one to check for.

Observing her golden performances in the last few seasons, Alcott mentions that Daisi has done well in a row, and is progressing with every competition. Hence, she might not be called a one-championship wonder. As a matter of fact, the Beech House School student has already managed to take home several esteemed trophies, which includes the British Children’s Championships in Tignes, France Under 14son April 2016 where she stood slalom 1st and in the Children’s Championship, held in Tignes, as well,. Daisi also joined the Under 14s held on April 2016 where she stood overall 1st,. On March, 2016, she joined the British Children’s Championships in Tignes, France under 14s where she stood 1st Giant Slalom event, and gained the first rank in Super G and SG/GS Kombi event.

Coming back to Alcott, who has been a coach last season, got an opportunity to meet and mingle with a number of young British skiers, who, she emphasizes, are taking the sport more seriously than ever, thus signaling the advent of a number of young talents in near future. Her pupils, she observes are extremely competitive and enthusiastic learners, which can account to some real positive changes in the skiing scenario in Great Britain.

Amidst all she tutored, Alcott mentions that it is Daniels who impressed her “day in and day out” and she even mentioned that her student has it all to participate in the World Cup. Alcott herself eon her first-ever British title back in 2002, and kept on representing the national team in the Olympics. The path she laid would be continued by Daniels as well by dint of a little more commitment- the ace skier observes.

While the Rochdale-based Ski Racer is indeed raising the bar, she is being trained by a number prestigious association, such as the British Ski Academy, when she is abroad and the Manchester Ski Racing Club while at home. She also regularly attends practicing sessions in Chill Factore, where she learned skiing. Tim Fawke, the board director of British Ski and Snowboard and Chief Executive of Snowsport England also believes that Daisi is one of those few athletes who have made a huge improvement since her early training days.

In the coming season, Daniels aim at gaining the three primary finishes at the British Alpine Ski Championships and also to do better than ever in the International Children’s race, where she has been a regular participant.

While training and racing on-snow before she kick starts her busy summer days in the UK dry slopes and snow domes, Daisi requests sponsorships in any form and types to help her reach the zenith of her career. Details are available in her personal website.
