Duries -
Duries are generally used in homes, schools, festival occasions, social occasions as well In India. Embroidery part is done on the durries and it is a cotton fabric which is specially used for sitting of multiple of people at the festival occasions and marriage ceremonies for serving food especially in villages.
Specially western and northern India is especially famous for weaving durries like - the punjabi women are famous for cotton durries, In jaisalmer and barmer sections of Rajasthan is also famous for weaving for woolen durries. There is also work performed on duurries in geometrical patterns and designs as well.
Carpets -
Indian carpets are generally used from the Agra part since its inception from the Mughal period and it is available in India from the Iran and persian type. Punjab is really famous for making the mouri carpets which is usually performed in the shape of geometrical shapes and designs. From Amritsar (Punjab) it is exported throughout the world.
Rugs -
These rugs are generally prepared in black, grey, green and red colour of background. Besides this the rugs are generally produced in the punjab and Rajasthan states. There is also embroidery work performed in the India.
Like in Andhra Pradesh the geometrical work, flower work is also performed on the rugs. Generally these are made with the help of Jute and Sunn cloth. Besides this the blanket work and patti work is also famous.
