Trek Itinerary : Nag Tibba Trek

Day 1 :Reach Panthwari; 2-3 hours drive from Dehradun. Transport will be arranged from Dehradun Railway Station at 6.30 am. Trek from Panthwari ((4,642 ft)) to Camp 1/Khatian (7,627 ft).

Water sources : Carry sufficient water from Panthwari

On your first day, the journey towards Panthwari will take four hours from Dehradun railway station. The way will take you via Mussoorie, Kempty Fall, over Yamuna Bridge up to Nainbhagh on the road to Purola.

From Nainbagh, you will head towards Nag Tibba road. The village will be the starting point of the trek. As you trek in the cemented trail. Later you will observe the welcome gate as the trail goes up. After some time of the trek, you will be able to see the “Nag Devta” temple. From this point, the trail curves towards the left and the cemented trail are now replaced with a rocky shepherds’ trail. As you move further so quite a long time, you will notice that there lays a trail going up through the forest cover with 20 to 30 minutes of a steep climb, as 15 minutes into the hike, look for a small clearing. From here, you can locate the campsite.

Day 2 :Camp 1/Khatian (7,627 ft) to Nag Tibba Top (9,915 ft) via Nag Tibba Base (8,530 ft); descend to Panthwari, 5-6 hours. Drive back to Dehradun. Book trains or buses from Dehradun after 10.00 pm.

On the 2nd day of the trek, it will be a long walk from Camp 1 straight into the forest. Most of the trail is in a thickly forested area. You will get the glimpse of the Gharwal peaks, and in winters, you can witness snow all around. Later there will be 1 km steep in the last phase of the trek.

As after so hardship and adventure, you will reach the summit than spend your time witness the beauty, after spending some time at the summit, begin your descent. It will be a 45 km descent on the trail. Along with that, you start moving beside the stream. After a few hours of descending on this trail, you reach Moriana. From Moriana, the trail descends into the jungle again. It takes another 45 minutes to reach. Panthwari is 8 km from Bhatwadi. And after arriving there, you will head towards Dehradun.
