Mullite brick is a kind of high alumina material refractory. Generally the alumina content is 65%～75%.

It has good refractoriness which can reach to more than 1790℃ . The refractoriness under load is 1600～1700℃ and cold crushing strength is 70～260MPa.Good shock resistance. It is devided into sintered mullite brick and electric fused mullite brick. Sintered mullite bricks is made by using high alumina bauxite as raw material, adding some clay or raw bauxite as bonding agent ,then moulding and sintering. Electric fused mullite bricks made by high grade bauxite, industrial alumina and fire clay as raw material, adding charcoal or coke fines as reducing agent. After moulding, made by reduction electric melting method.
