Poetry that focuses on self-discovery and self-love helps readers find their internal faults, the pursuit of happiness, and their truths.

Dr. Ann Zachariah is a talented poet that pours her heart into the creation of “Wild Child of Monsoons.” The book has a compilation of several poems that talk about self-love, grief, love, trust and more. Reading through the poems is said to send readers on a hope-filled journey that helps them discover parts of themselves they did not know existed. It talks about overcoming painful experiences, emotions, and memories to become whole again.

Dr Zachariah uses her profound words to thread together beautiful pictures of losing someone you never got to love, or a picture of what love and truth look like, and so much more. This book helps readers recognize the gratitude, loss, and pain they experience throughout their lives and find ways to channel these feelings.
The poems are nothing less than articulate in explaining several different human feelings that can help people explore their inner selves while becoming more aware of those around them.

When spoken to Ann Zachariah about her book, she stated the following, “the poem is a collection of words that portray how I have felt throughout my life. It is a testament to the kind of love I have found in several relationships around me, within myself, and in those around me. The poetry is supposed to help readers come to terms with the grief they feel, their insecurities, their desperation for happiness and love. I decided to write these poems to feel, and I hope they help others feel as well.”

Amongst the many subjects that Zachariah’s poetry covers, some of the most prevalent ones will have to be about soul mates, healing hands, songs of love, grief, truth, happiness, and self-love. These poems take a microscopic look at how a person deals with their own grief and the grief around them. It takes a rather vulnerable take on love, hope, and guilt in some of the poems in the book.

The collection has other poems that have made the book stand out and create an emotional storm in the readers. These poems include A Twilight Dream, Summer Rains, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
