Anthony Tata has always focused on performing to the best of his abilities in any role that he has taken on. He served in the United States Army for 28 years, during which he attained the rank of Brigadier General. He was the Deputy Commanding General of US forces in Afghanistan between 2006 and 2007 and also served as the Brigade Commander in the 101st Airborne Division and Deputy Commanding General of the 10th Mountain Division.

After making the decision to leave the army, Anthony Tata continued to dedicate himself to public service. He became the Chief Operating Officer of The District of Columbia Public Schools, serving in the role until 2010 when he became the Superintendent of the Wake County Public School System. During his two years in that role he was instrumental in the creation a number of Leadership Academies and Career Technical Schools, which have helped a number of young students to succeed since their founding.

Upon leaving this role, Tata entered the world of politics in 2013, becoming the Secretary of Transportation for North Carolina. During this time, he led a team of more than 12,000 employees and was instrumental in changing the plans for the I-40 and I-440 to make them more driver-friendly, in addition to securing the construction of the new Bonner Bridge, fulfilling a promise that he made to constituents before he chose to resign from the role in 2015.

All of these career choices have offered him the opportunity to learn more about leadership, which is why USA Investco and Tata were both delighted to announce his appointment as a partner in the company in August of 2015.

Anthony Tata is now dedicated to using his considerable skillset to help USA Investco, which is a multi-million-dollar commercial real estate and logistics company, continue its growth. As a Senior Managing Partner, he will look to help the company to maximize its supply chains on the East Coast, placing particular focus on Port of Virginia, Port of Wilmington and North Carolina as a whole. He aims to bring the same level of dedication and quality that he has provided throughout the course of his career.
