IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) conducted its latest Express Entry draw on October 14, 2020, issuing invitations to 4500 candidates who applied under the Express Entry program. It is the 165th draw held by IRCC. Moreover, it is the largest draw conducted despite the corona outbreak, which in turn shows the benevolent attitude of the Canadian Government towards the immigrants who wish to settle and work in Canada on a permanent basis.
The Express Entry system is a three stage active immigration process where the aspiring candidates need to create a valid Express Entry profile. On the second stage, IRCC assesses the profiles of the potential applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. Now, the potential candidates who have met the eligibility criteria enter the Express Entry Pool with other eligible Express Entry Candidates. On the third stage, the candidates who meet the identified needs of the Federal Government as well as of the Canadian employers will be issued an ITA (Invitation to Apply). Only those candidates who have an ITA can apply for Canada’s Permanent residence.
In the biggest Express Entry Draw held on October 14, 2020, invitations were issued to the candidates who had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 471 or above. Where all the countries are putting a halt to the immigration, the maple country is still committed to inviting a huge number of applicants who can contribute towards the recovery of the Canadian economy and bridge the gap that exists in the labor market of Canada.
For Canada, immigration remains an economic priority of the Canadian Government as the country thinks that immigrants are the ones who can help to bring the economy back on its track. So, that’s the reason, the maple country is conducting draw frequently.
