Structure
It is mainly consisting of cold aggregate supply system, drying system (drum dryer and burner), hot aggregate elevator, vibrating screen, weighing and mixing system (or mixing tower), bitumen supply system, filler supply system, and hot asphalt silo.

Main classification
It can be classified into stationarytype and mobile type; or divided into standard type and environment-friendly type, or grouped into continuous type and intermittent type.
