Launch of late Shri Dajikaka Gadgil museum inaugurated by Mayor ChanchalataiKodre,ShashitaiKirloskar and Mr.Vasant Davkhare, Deputy Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Council followed by Madhuri Dixit Nene’s visit to the Laxmi road store where their Mangalsutra mohotsav winners received their gifts and Dajikaka’s life journey’s book was launched along with loyalty cards for regular customers.

Further, Think Pure Awards ceremony was held at Ganesh Krida Kala Manch where S.B.Mujumdar, Founder and President of Symbiosis Society, Krishhna Patil, second youngest Indian to climb Mount Everest at an age of 19, Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, Tabla Maestro, Mr. Satish Magar, Vice President, CREDAI were presented by the prestigious awards.

On receiving this award, S.B. Mujumdar, Founder and President of Symbiosis Society expressed his gratitude by saying, “P. N. Gadgil Jewelers Pvt Ltd have given Pune an identity of its own, I am humbled by them for considering me and bestowing me with this inordinate award.” Beguiled by the award was young Krishhna Patil, second youngest Indian to climb Mount Everest who stated, “Such awards help in motivating us youngsters to a large extent. I am over whelmed having received this award from such prominent personalities of Pune; I take immense pleasure in receiving this award conferred to me by P. N. Gadgil Jewelers Pvt Ltd.”

Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, Tabla Maestro, appreciated the award by saying, “Pune is known as the cultural capital of Maharashtra, the city is recognized for its rich culture alive even today in the fields of art, music and literature. I can relate well with P. N. Gadgil Jewelers Pvt Ltd having common art backgrounds, as jewelry too is an art like that of playing a tabla, I am grateful to them for considering me for his award.”

Mr. Satish Magar, Vice President, CREDAI, mentioned, “Pune is expanding vastly today in terms of infrastructure, a lot of cultural richness that attracts investors is due to various prominent personalities playing a major role in retaining Pune’s historic ethos and ethnicities, P. N. Gadgil Jewelers Pvt Ltd is one of them and I thank them for bequeathing me with the award.”

Mr. Parag Gadgil or Parag Kaka, Partner, P. N. Gadgil Jewelers Pvt Ltd as he is fondly called has been a fount of knowledge and inspiration on the shop floor, an engineer by profession he has steered the retail ship for over three decades. At the Laxmi Road store event, he said, “We are tremendously glad to do what we are doing today and with the way Dajikak’s centenary birthday celebrations have turned out. We assure to take Dajikaka’s blessings forward.”


On this occasion Madhuri Dixit Nene said,"I have a long association with P.N. Gadgil Jewelers and i am glad to be present with them. I miss Dajikaka Gadgil and my father too. Their generation was totally different. They believed in honesty and the Gadgil’s have followed the legacy and will be followed forever. He was a legend and icon. Dajikaka have seen so much in life and we have not experienced half of it. Like my dad I will always carry him in my heart."

On this occasion Mr. Saurabh Gadgil, Managing Director, P. N. Gadgil Jewelers, said “The activities for this were organized to pay an ode to DajiKaka. The museum has a lot of articles depicting DajiKaka’s memories, had he been amongst us today, he would have been very happy. We had plans to celebrate his 100th birthday in a grand manner. He is witnessed as one of Maharashtra’s eminent personalities, especially in the field of jewelry. What we are doing today is a tribute to him, thus we have arranged various activities spread throughout the day. He is PNG jeweler’s patriarch. Even though he is not amongst us we have his blessings and his wisdoms of truth, transparency, thinking like pure gold thus leading to purity of our thoughts.Madhuri’s love for Daji Kaka is the reason why she is here with us today.”

Madhuri Dixit Nene, who met Dajikaka at the launch of their Thane store, said, “I interacted with Dajikaka a lot at the Thane store’s launch, where in one interaction I understood what a humble person he was, he treated me like his daughter. An extremely loveable person, having the curiosity of a 9 year old at the age of 99, his exciting, risk-taking and charming personality totally outshone him even at 99. Coming to P. N. Gadgil jewelers is as warm as coming home. ”
