Workforce Development Board of Ventura County Teams Up with America's Job Centers of California for Ventura County WORKS Program

 
The Workforce Development Board of Ventura County (WDBVC) is a proud partner of America's Job Center of California (AJCC) network. The AJCC helps people search for jobs, find training, and answer other employment-related questions. WDBVC administers the Ventura County WORKS program, housed at the America’s Job Center of California, which provides invaluable resources towards securing meaningful employment for job seekers and career aspirants throughout the region. Individuals can access a wide range of services including career coaching, job training, and assistance with job searches, at no cost.

"We are excited to bring the Ventura County WORKS program to our community’s America’s Job Center of California. The America’s Job Center of California network brings workforce partners that leverage funding and resources across the region to job seekers and local businesses," said Rebecca Evans, Executive Director of the Workforce Development Board of Ventura County. "By providing comprehensive resources and support, we aim to empower individuals to achieve their career goals and contribute to the economic vitality of Ventura County."

Ventura County WORKS, found at the America’s Job Centers of California, offers personalized assistance to meet the unique needs of all job seekers, including veterans, people experiencing homelessness, people with disabilities, English language learners, justice-involved individuals, young adults and so many more.

Ventura County WORKS has ten locations in Ventura, Ojai, Oxnard, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Santa Paula, Fillmore and Piru. There, people can take advantage of a range of no-cost services:
• Resume development and interview practice
• Assistance finding a job
• Education and training opportunities
• One on one career counselling
• Work based learning and paid work experience
• Help with college/vocational applications
• Connect to other resources
