Ball Fabrics, Inc. announces that ExtremeScreen80®, the company’s premier windscreen product, was selected to receive the prestigious 2024 Game Changer Award, presented by the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA). The Award recognizes innovative products, services, or techniques that literally “change the game” for sports facility construction.
“We are extremely proud and honored to receive this award,” said Larry Ball, CEO of Ball Fabrics. “Knowing that winners of the Game Changer Awards are determined by the votes of contractors who actually use the product makes this especially gratifying. I congratulate all the companies whose products or services were innovative enough to be considered for the award.”
ExtremeScreen80®, the first windscreen to receive a patent, represents breakthrough technology that combines the durability and strength of knitted polyethylene with the refined look, stability, and texture of premium vinyl-coated windscreens. The patented honeycomb design consists of uniquely shaped holes engineered to funnel and diffuse wind. This greatly reduces the wind load, protecting both the windscreen and the fence.
“Ball Fabrics has been at the leading edge of windscreen design and development for 36 years,” Ball continued. “We are always searching for ways to improve our products, and ExtremeScreen80® is our biggest breakthrough yet. Everyone knows that wind load and wind maintenance are a huge and costly concern. We’ve been looking for an answer to that problem for a long time. With ExtremeScreen80® we’ve had verified reports of 70 mph windstorms with ZERO broken ty wraps. That was unheard of prior to this product. Winning this award proves to me that we did what we set out to do. Mission accomplished.” For more information about ExtremeScreen80® or other Ball Fabrics products, visit https://ballfabrics.com/.
