Bally on the Block is the first project on the Ethereum blockchain to celebrate UK grime music. The collection will launch on OpenSea on June 20, and it's the first collection of three.

[London, UK, June 16]: Bally on the Block, a unique NFT art project that celebrates UK grime music, is set to launch its first collection on June 20, 2022. The collection features 7,777 hand-drawn unique balaclavas, all paying homage to the streets and sound of urban London. It’s the first project of its kind on the blockchain and it has already started to accumulate a steady fan base, including support from UK rap veteran C Biz.

The collection will be listed on OpenSea.io and will launch in five phases.

The founder of Bally on the Block, known in the cryptoworld as BlazeB.ETH, said: “After months of work, we’re delighted to announce the launch of this project. We believe that some of the best music and fashion comes from London and we can’t wait to see that reflected in the NFT space.”

He added: “Grime music tends to come from the social housing estates of London, from people who have been historically marginalized. The aim of this project is to celebrate and uplift the people who have given us some of the best, most real music in hip-hop.”

The long-term goal of Bally on the Block is to create a decentralized talent scouting platform that supports up-and-coming artists in London and beyond.

BlazeB.ETH said: “The best part about the NFT space is that it’s very communal – people really go out of their way to support one another. We aim to embrace that sense of community to create Bally’s Got Talent, our decentralized talent scouting platform, which we will later take into the Metaverse. This launch is just the beginning of what we hope is a long road ahead.”
