A wrongful termination lawsuit has been commenced against Bright Data in the San Francisco Superior Court.

Bright Data is accused of creating a toxic and hostile work environment in which multiple employees raised ethical and legal questions about the company’s practices including terminating an LGBT employee upon his raising these complaints through his legal counsel.

“I look forward to obtaining a favorable outcome once we present our case. No employer in 2022 should be able to create an environment that is hostile towards marginalized employees.” - John Smithers (Plaintiff)

A Case Management Conference on the matter is scheduled for May 2023.
