Literacy Moments Magazine Hosts Virtual Black History Book Festival Featuring Black Authors from Around the Country

Literacy Moments Magazine proudly announces its inaugural Virtual Black History Book Festival, celebrating the rich literary contributions of African American authors.

 
The Virtual Black History Book Festival aims to honor the voices, stories, and cultural heritage of Black authors while fostering literacy and promoting diverse literature. Attendees can expect a dynamic program featuring author readings, panel discussions, book signings, and interactive Q&A sessions. The event will take place every Saturday in February starting February 10, 2024 and will showcase a lineup of esteemed writers, including Monee Brown, Kimberly DiPasquale, Koffe Brown, Jermaine Seamon, Omari Richards, Marya Sherron, Pearl Hale, Therese Taylor-Stinson, Malika Davis, Kathy Greggs, Bri R, Mae Dixon and many more.

"We are thrilled to bring together such a talented and diverse group of authors for our Virtual Black History Book Festival," said Kym Oglesby Founder of Literacy Moments Magazine. "This event serves as a platform to amplify Black voices in literature, celebrate Black history and culture, and inspire readers of all backgrounds."
The festival will kick off with an opening ceremony followed by a series of engaging sessions highlighting various genres, themes, and perspectives within Black literature. From historical fiction to contemporary poetry, attendees will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of literary works and connect with authors on a personal level.

In addition to author presentations, the event will also include special giveaways, promotions, and exclusive offers to enhance the festival experience. "We invite readers, book lovers, and advocates of diversity and inclusion to join us for this meaningful celebration of Black literature," added Kym Oglesby. "Together, let us honor the legacy of Black authors, share their stories, and continue to promote literacy and cultural understanding."
