While in the beginning of her career, Betty Mackie started along with the contractors to execute the specific duties after hiring them. Currently, she is working on her own and has repurposed many existing materials such as doorknobs antique hinges and stained glass windows while keeping in mind that the interior décor matches well with the costal theme.

Being a talented designer, Betty has designed and overseen five home renovations projects. She has also attended East Tennessee State University (ETSU) where she obtained a degree in Liberal Arts. She is married to Chris Donovin, who is a licensed and certified physician assistant. Betty is a soccer enthusiast and loves to travel in and around the United States. During her free time, she likes to read books and novels, go for swimming, and ride bikes.
