Many people in India refuse doing this type of yoga because this is really very uncomfortable to do this even in hot temperature. This is really very cleansing practice because whatever the water weight in your body, it might be zero. Though the hot temperature always disturbs in focus and enjoyment of yoga, many people feel this too uncomfortable. Downsides: Because yoga is practicing in a hot room, there is much chance to overstretching of muscles. So, be careful to overdo. The heat might be uncomfortable to you depends on your tolerance and preference. You might be dehydrated while doing practice if you are an over sweater. So, it is imperative to drink plenty of water before and after practice.

What to wear and bring? Bring ample of water with you and wear lightweight and minimal clothing to do hot yoga. This is essential for women to wear sports bras and yoga pants. There are also available performance fabrics that will wick away your body sweat which is a bonus for your hot yoga practice. Keep a full bottle of water with you during class. You will want to bring yoga mat during yoga practices. Many yoga practitioners like to use sweat absorbing yoga mat towel.
