RYA Competent Crew Practical Course
The company provides the opportunity for beginners to become active crewmembers through the RYA Competent Crew Practical Course. The course aims to teach the various aspects of sailing, which include learning parts of the boat, preparing yachts for departure and handling the anchor and dinghy. Safety courses like MOB (Man Overboard) Drills are available as well.
Students will receive an RYA Competent Crew certificate at the end of the course. They will be capable of steering, handling sails, keeping a lookout, rowing a dinghy and other regular duties on board. More importantly, they will have a good time exploring the marinas, harbours and anchorages during the trip.
Privileges
Those who undergo the Competent Crew Course will have their own cabins, meals and drinks, safety and wet weather sailing gears, course booklets, beddings and other provisions. They are also entitled to accommodations on board for 7 nights. In addition, students have the chance to explore La Gomera and Tenerife to start their sailing week.
