We have taken a few steps ahead, towards digitalization with the new release of CADISON R22. Also, to enhance the efficiency of your plant, we have brought new innovations and few changes that will shorten the planning time for large scale plant construction while minimizing error rates.

There were several key features that were taken into consideration for the R22 roadmap. And of course, many customer requests have again been taken into account in this version. We have implemented a number of optimizations in terms of user experience and thus once again increased the productivity of CADISON.

'Scan to CADISON': Digitalization of existing assets
In many cases, operators' plants and systems have grown traditionally and are sometimes decades old. This means that the documentation and information of the existing plant is often not available in the digital form. To accelerate digitalization in this area, CADISON R22 has a semi-automatic way of detecting pipelines via laser scanning. This is a lean function that can be implemented by users without much training or prior knowledge.

Optimized multi-user operation speeds up project execution
A networked approach and smooth cooperation between the different disciplines is crucial for the successful completion of large projects. With CADISON R22, we have further expanded these strengths and optimized the solution for simultaneous use by multiple users. With the new version, almost 20 users can work on a CADISON project at the same time, across all disciplines - be it P&ID, 3D or isometric. On this basis, the processing of large projects is considerably accelerated, and costs can be reduced.

Collaboration with external project participants further simplified
For verification phases and approval processes, it is necessary to provide external participants who do not work with CADISON with a clear overview of the current planning status. This is possible with the new release as a 3D PDF based on the CADISON data at the click of a mouse. The recipient can enter his or her change requests to the 3D model using the comment function and markers. This function also facilitates collaboration on large global projects.

Improved change management minimizes risks
During the planning process, various project participants make immense number of changes. CADISON logs this change history. The new version simplifies the evaluation of the data. Changes are now displayed specifically for a period of time, assigned to team members. If necessary, they can be undone. The new change management functions help to identify sources of errors in advance, e.g. in component orders. The risk of incorrect orders and delays is thus minimized.

New pipe class generator in MATPIPE
Piping design is an important element of plant design, and pipe class generation is time-consuming and prone to manual errors. With the new generator, pipe classes can be created in just a few hours.

Focus on user-friendliness
In addition to these and many other new features, the focus was on the user experience. Users can enjoy a clear user interface that facilitates access to important functions such as report generation or task management.

System requirements
As operating systems, the new release supports Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019, each with the latest updates. From Autodesk, the product versions 2021, 2022 and 2023 are supported. This applies to AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture and Mechanical. Older versions of Autodesk products are no longer compatible, as the older products are no longer included in Autodesk's subscription or will not be in the near future.

Microsoft Office is supported in 2016, 2019, 2021 and 365 versions, both 32 bit and 64 bit. However, we recommend using the 64-bit version of Office. The 32-bit version of Microsoft Office should only be used in exceptional cases.
