About Proximity Key Tags
Proximity key tags are like an automotive key which is pocket size and convenient in use. Proximity technology is used in proximity key tags. These are quite flexible and durable and can be attached to a ring very easily. They are strong enough to withstand mishandling and harsh environmental conditions. Like proximity key fobs, they also support keyless entry system in the vehicles. Traditionally proximity key tags were designed to be operated on infrared technology. How do they operate?

Proximity reader transmits radio signals which are read by the key tags and after absorbing the signals, the key tags generates codes which pass to the main computer. Unlike proximity key tags, bar code key tags possess a bar code along with serial numbering. It can also include data for storing membership information and these can be updated or edited to work in tandem with the existing system. A combination of number or a bar code is imposed at the rear side of a key tag.

Due to their durability and flexibility, their maintenance cost is very low. Proximity key tags have high read range and are radio frequency programmed and can also be self-programmed. Due to their high resistance power and strength, they can face the wear and tear of harsh conditions.
