Boise, Idaho - Director and producer Mason Dodson is excited to announce an upcoming film, titled Sweet Chorus Dolores. Set in 1970s Boise, the film is based on the director, Mason, and his romance with a woman who knew no other love like manipulation. With themes of female empowerment, the film is about three dysfunctional criminals caught up in a rock 'n' roll love triangle, fast-paced heists, and toxic relationships coming to an end.
To meet production costs such as transportation, costuming, equipment, insurance, and marketing. By working with local businesses such as Combat Sport Supply, Fork, Mad Swede Brewery and the Cabana Inn, Mason kept costs low. Contributions, no matter how small, also help compensate the incredible cast and crew, including two Boise film companies; Lioness Studios and Black Badger Productions in bringing this film to the big screen.
Mason stated “I want people to know that the Boise film community is alive and thriving. We’re really creating films that highlight the truly amazing set locations and partners in Idaho in a meaningful way.” As of April the GoFundMe for Sweet Chorus Dolores is at almost $2,900, and needs $7,100 more to complete production.
