Police arrest five, seize $16k in drugs in chatham

In january 2025, police in chatham-kent seized nearly $16,000 in illegal drugs, fentanyl and cocaine, from a king street east home. A 55-year-old man is charged with drug trafficking and drug possession.

Fentanyl and sawed-off shotgun seized by police

Fentanyl was seized by chatham-kent police on Aug. 29 2024 along with a sawed-off shotgun and other related items. Police have arrested two women who face multiple charges from firearm-related offenses to drug possession.

Assistance investigations

In january 2025, chatham-kent police used local CCTV footage to identify people involved in a robbery of a city business in Tilbury and the disappearance of an elderly person in Dresden, illustrating police use of this local surveillance to resolve crimes and protect public safety.

Timber fest celebration
