After undergoing treatment and recovering from the disease, Yuvi did not stop and made his international comeback in Cricket. Then in IPL, from where he was priced as high as Rs.16 Crore to where his price fell to Rs. 1 Crore in IPL 2019.
After facing soo many downfall and heights in Indian Cricket, he emerged as a fighter and never gave up. He is the one who made a great start to his international cricketing career. He emerged as a hero not only in cricket but in his life too.
Yuvraj received Arjuna Award in 2012 which is India's second highest sporting award by the Government of India. In 2014, Yuvi was awarded the Padma Shri which is India's fourth highest civilian honour.
In 2007 World Twenty20 in South Africa, Yuvraj Singh in a match between India National Cricket Team and England National Cricket Teamhit the famous six sixes in an over bowled by Stuart Broad. In the same match, he set the record for the fastest fifty in T20 Internationals by reaching 50 runs in 12 balls.
Yuvraj in the 2011 Cricket World Cup was the Man of the Tournament. He played an essential role in World Cup 2011 to let Indiawin the World Cup by defeating Sri Lanka National Cricket Team in final at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
During ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, despite having all the symptoms of lung cancer, Yuvi fought hard and played the game. In 2011, he was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his left lung and undergone treatment in Boston and Indianapolis.
Yuvi after recovering from cancer returned in a Twenty20 match in September 2012 against New Zealand National Cricket Team. Now Yuvi will be seen playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2019.
