Whatever you think of Luis Suarez , you would probably have to consider him for a spot in a current World XI.
But put Rio Ferdinand, Joey Barton, Kyle Walker and Adebayo Akinfenwa (aka The Beast) in a room and get them to pick their ultimate team, and apparently his name doesn't even feature.
In big news for FIFA 15 fans (the game - not Sepps horrible mob), EA SPORTS will release the FIFA Team of the Year this coming Monday (the 12th). Importantly, the players in that line-up will see their in-game stats get a nice, timely boost.
To celebrate, Rio was brought in to have this wonderfully mouthy group of footballers select the best XI in the world right now.
As well as Suarez not even getting a look in, we'll let you count the number of Premier League players on show.
It's that time of year again, EA SPORTS are set to release their FIFA Ultimate Team – Team of the Year on January 12th. The team – based on the Official FIFPro World XI – gives gamers the chance to play with and against the planets best players with boosted in game attributes to mirror their form throughout 2014. The question is, who were the best XI players on the planet in 2014?
To help decide, EA SPORTS enlisted the help of some of football's most outspoken and respected voices – Rio Ferdinand, Joey Barton, Kyle Walker and the strongest player on FIFA 15, AFC Wimbledon's Adebayo Akinfenwa. The players each selected their team of XI, then fought it out to come up with a combined Team of the Year.
Rio: “Who's better, Ronaldo or Messi?”
Akinfenwa: “For me, Messi's god given, but Ronaldo's worked. For me I think Ronaldo is complete.”
Will their selection match the FIFPro World XI? Who did Akinfenwa pick to cause 'ultimate damage' in the centre of the park? Which former United team mates did Ferdinand select? And did they all manage to agree on a set XI?
