Rochester, NY─ 30th July 2022: Larsen Engineers takes the lead in promoting Rochester’s “ROC-EV” initiative to transform the city into a model EV accelerator municipality.
Supported by NYSERDA(the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, the program aims to achieve the deployment of plug-in EVs (electric vehicles) across the city.
To promote this initiative, Larsen Engineers has installed two charging stations in its office building. The company believes the rising costs of gas across the US can pose a considerable threat to the country’s economy and the increasing dependence on oil and gas isn’t suitable for the environment. They aim to contribute to the state’s climate change mitigation projects and are actively participating in multiple projects to promote sustainability in New York.
A representative of the company stated, ‘’We understand that the involvement of corporate partners is critical for promoting the ROC-EV initiative and transforming the city into a sustainable community. We have installed charging stations in our facility to contribute toward the adoption of electric vehicles in the city. We believe that new charging stations will raise consumer confidence as they’ll know they have places to charge their EV vehicles.’’
