Rancho Mirage, Calif. (March 12, 2024) – San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC), a family-run accredited private college, is pleased to announce an open house event for its Vocational Nursing program at the SJVC Rancho Mirage campus on April 2, 2024, from 6pm - 7:30 pm.

The Vocational Nursing program at SJVC prepares students with the necessary training and skills for a successful career in healthcare. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN), paving the way for a fulfilling career in nursing. Please note that while SJVC provides comprehensive training, successful certification exam or licensure is not guaranteed upon completion of the program.

As licensed vocational nurses, graduates will play a crucial role in providing quality care to injured, sick, and disabled patients under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses. This includes performing various clinical tasks such as recording vital signs, monitoring patient charts, administering medications, and more.

The Vocational Nursing program at SJVC offers the ability to earn an associate degree in as few as 15 months, allowing students to quickly enter the workforce and make a difference in their communities.

The Open House event will provide prospective students with the opportunity to learn more about the Vocational Nursing program, tour the campus facilities, and speak with faculty and current students.
