FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The institution you choose to apply to will specify what standard of English is required for the position that you're considering. If English is not your first language, we require you to prove your qualification with a language certificate or by taking our language test.

In addition to Pearson Test of English, IELTS, UEEC, CPE, and CAE, we are now accepting the Speaking Friends Advanced certificate and the TOEFL certificate. If you want to submit your SFA certificate, please send a certified copy to your area representative. If you choose to submit your TOEFL certificate, then please quote the TOEFL institution code and the certificate will be sent directly.

For further information about recognized language certificates, please refer to the department that you intend to apply to. Foreign applicants need to meet certain conditions in order to be eligible. For certain fields, institutions may also require additional foreign language competencies.

Applicants who have successfully completed at least one year of full-time study in a recognized qualification at a post-secondary educational institution where the sole language of instruction and assessment was English, may not be required to undertake a language test if they can provide a statement of that institution confirming this.
