New York, USA – To be dated: Francisco Faraco is a CFA charterholder, who has been working in the financial service industry for a long time. Hemoved to the US from Venezuela in 1999and has been living in New York for the last 12 years. He is a family man and has three children.
He has completed his education from Universidad Metropolitanawith a Bachelorsdegree in Business Administration majoring in Banking and Finance. Francisco Faraco is an avid learner who has several accolades to his name. His student life was also filled with many awards; for instance, his undergraduatethesis about the “Empirical Contrast between the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) and the Arbitrage Pricing Theory (APT)” was awarded the Best Paper Honorable Mention in 1999.
Currently, Francisco Faraco is working as a Teaching Assistant in the Master of Science in Financial Mathematics at the University of Chicago. Francisco also worked as a Sales Trader in Caracas for about five years and have handled large books of international clients at the Merrill Lynch office in Miami. He further worked as a Portfolio Advisor at Banco Santander, where he mostly dealt with Latin American clients. Furthermore, he also worked as an Executive Director at JP Morgan for about six years in their Global Investment Opportunities (GIO) group.
