ALCOFIND, a DA Tech brand, is a leading ignition interlock device manufacturer in Korea. Since 2002, they have been designing and producing ignition interlock devices (IID), and their products are used in over 50 countries worldwide.
ALCOFIND ignition interlock devices are well-known for their precision and dependability. They use the most accurate sort of sensor available: fuel cell sensors. ALCOFIND's IIDs also include advanced circumvention characteristics, such as the capacity to sense the temperature, humidity, flow rate, and air volume of the breath sample.
ALCOFIND AF-i1 Ignition Interlock Device Product
The ALCOFIND AF-i1 is equipped with a premium fuel cell sensor and is designed to prevent drunk driving by preventing the engine from starting if it exceeds a predetermined level after checking the driver's alcohol level.
Features of ALCOFIND's Ignition Interlock Devices include:
Fuel cell sensor for high accuracy and reliability
Advanced features to prevent circumvention
Ability to store and download data
Manageable through software
Working under extreme conditions
Typically, an ignition interlock device works as follows:
Breath sample: Before starting the vehicle, the driver must blow into the device to produce a breath sample. The IID measures the alcohol content of the breath sample.
Alcohol detection: The device looks for evidence of alcohol in the breath sample. The vehicle will start normally if the alcohol concentration in the breath is less than the predetermined limit. However, if alcohol levels are determined to be above the legal limit, the vehicle will not start.
Rolling retests: To prevent drivers from having someone else blow into the device to start the vehicle, most IIDs require rolling retests during the journey. These retests prompt the driver to provide additional breath samples randomly while the vehicle is in motion.
Reporting: The IID records data about the breath tests and any attempts to tamper with or circumvent the system. These records are usually sent to the appropriate authorities or monitoring agency for review, which helps monitor the driver's compliance with IID requirements.
