Dr. Greg Frokjer passionately follows his personal interests and activities. He is a commercial pilot and is a seasoned open water ocean free diver. He owns and personally operates an excavation business (Frokjer Excavating and Construction) and has a Class A CDL with a perfect driving record. He has operated heavy equipment for over 35 years. He has also 25 years of experience in gold prospecting and mining. He has personally built a log cabin in the remote bush of Northern Manitoba and has an eight-sided hurricane resistant house in the Bahamas. He did remote horseback pack trips in the western states of Montana, Colorado, and Idaho. From 1996-2003, he raced late model dirt track cars and was President of the Northern Late Model Racing Association. He was rookie of the year in 1996.

A medical professional, Dr. Greg Frokjer had a successful practice with over 80,000 patients treated in his career. He treated 60-70 patients and performed 15-20 surgeries. He has done more than 2,000 major hospital cases and administered over 50,000 general or IV anesthetics. He completed his general practice residency from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He then did his internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Carle Foundation Hospitals and Clinic. His staff appointments include Residency at Carle Foundation Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Burnham Trauma Center, Carle Clinic, Christie Clinic, and Cleft Palate Clinic. He has privately practiced at several hospitals such as Medcenter One, Riverview Hospital, Roseau Hospital and Altru Hospital.
