Gilbert Starleigh is passionate about his faith and has always taken an active role in his church community, as well as in Christian ministry. Gilbert Starleigh's passion for his faith and his desire to share it with others led to his desicision to pursue a degree in Christian Education and Biblical Theology. "People can ask some hard questions when you're speaking to them about the Bible and God's love,” says Gilbert Starleigh. "I want to be as knowledgeable as I can about the basis of my own faith in the hopes that knowledge will allow me to bring more people to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ."

Gilbert Starleigh pursued an Associate’s Degree in Christian Education and Biblical Theology. He attended Jacksonville Baptist Theological Institute for his degree. Although attending classes with his already full schedule was difficult, Gilbert Starleigh found it to be an important step in his own personal development as well as the work that he does with others.

Gilbert Starleigh has been participating in several Christian ministries, including Kairos Prison Ministry in order to help bring others closer to God. "It is every Christian's responsibility to share their faith and spread the word of God to as many people as possible," said Gilbert Starleigh. "I personally take that responsibility quite seriously and have dedicated my life to doing as much for the glorofication of God as possible."

Gilbert Starleigh is also an active member of his church community, standing in as a substitute Sunday School teacher as well as leading a men’s bible study class. Gilbert Starleigh hopes that his degree enables him to take on even more leadership roles in his church community and to assist in aiding in the church’s mission as much as possible.

Gilbert Starleigh hopes to continue his education, so that he can become an even greater asset to his community and to the mission of the Christian faith. Gilbert Starleigh says that the experiences that he has already had in his missions have inspired him to do more to touch the lives of others and bring them closer to God.
