Abu Dhabi, UAE, June. 07, 2022:-Global Electro-Mechanical Company (GEMC) announced today that Nicolene Jackson has been named Chief Executive Officer. She was the first female leader to join the Board of Directors. Jackson has been recognized for driving company growth through a focus on clients and operational excellence.

An industry professional with a background in management consulting, manufacturing, and accounting, Nicolene brings a different perspective to a growing industry. As one of the first women leaders with a track record of excellence and diversity, and oversight of the firm’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan program, Jackson will make sure (GEMC) remains a people-driven company. Nicolene is paving the way for the future of engineering and construction companies in Abu Dhabi and during her five-year tenure, which included three years as CFO, (GEMC) is rapidly growing in revenue.

Under her leadership, Global Electro-Mechanical Company has already grown from a local general contractor to a national leading service provider working with national brands across the UAE.

Nicoline Jackson succeeds Tom Rashford who has served as CEO of the Board since 2009. While CEO, he changed the company into an employee-owned organization, oversaw many acquisitions, and positioned the firm for growth. And during his last five years, Tom collaborated with now CEO Nicolene Jackson and has more than tripled revenue. Tom Rashford will now have the role of a Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Revenue Officer, he will be responsible for strategic growth through business development.

Prior to being named CEO, Nicolene Jackson was a member of the board and was a great force of growth for the company during her period in which revenue more than tripled. Jackson held two previous roles with Global Electro-Mechanical Company from 2016 to 2022, including serving as ultimately Chief Operating Officer.
