BPCL Director V. R. K. Gupta Honored as PSU CFO of the Year 2023-24 by CII

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is delighted to announce that its Director (Finance), Shri V. R. K. Gupta, has been named PSU CFO of the Year 2023-24 by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). This prestigious recognition reflects his exceptional financial leadership, guiding BPCL to new heights and delivering remarkable achievements over the past year.

Under Shri Gupta's visionary leadership, BPCL recorded an all-time high profit of ₹26,859 crore, driven by the company's highest-ever refining throughput and market sales. His strategic financial decisions have not only strengthened BPCL’s balance sheet but also positioned the company to achieve long-term growth and sustainability.

One of the significant milestones under Shri Gupta’s stewardship is BPCL attaining a Net Zero Debt position. This has fortified the company's net worth and prepared it to swiftly fund its ambitious ₹1.7 lakh crore capital expenditure plan over the next five years, aimed at enhancing its refining, marketing, and clean energy initiatives​.
