How Private Schools make huge profits while parents suffer

Private schools in Delhi have been on a fee hiking spree ever since Delhi High Court allowed some percentage of fee hike by schools.

Private schools have recently come under intense scrutiny for their consistent and exorbitant fee hikes, which have raised concerns about their commitment to providing quality education and their prioritization of profits over the welfare of students and parents. As families struggle with the financial burdens caused by the ongoing economic challenges, the actions of these private schools have sparked outrage and calls for greater transparency and accountability.

One such school, Ramjas School Pusa Road hiked its fee by 9 percent in a single year while laying off dozens of employees. Over the past several years, private schools across the region have implemented multiple fee increases, far exceeding the rate of inflation and the financial circumstances of many families. These hikes have left parents struggling to cope with the escalating costs of their children's education and have resulted in increased financial burdens, forcing some families to reconsider their options and potentially compromising the academic futures of their children.

The constant and steep fee hikes by private schools have raised serious questions about their commitment to education as a fundamental right rather than a privilege.
