Spanish is a language natively spoken by more than 427 million people all around the world including Europe, America, Asia Pacific, and Africa. This language has the second-largest group of native speakers after Chinese. Spanish is the national language in 22 countries all over the globe. The language is hugely used in the United States and is one of the fastest-growing languages of the country. The number of Spanish speakers in the United States is greater in numbers in comparison to Spain.

Whether its Spanish to English or English to Spanish translation services, the demand for both is equally high. There are a lot of businesses that are targeting the Spanish market or the Spanish speakers. On the other hand, any Spanish business planning to go global has to translate its content into English, because it is considered as the global language.

But, the Spanish translation services is not that easy. Fitting English content into Spanish is no less than a challenge. It's tricky to translate because it shares a close bond with Portuguese and Italian, which belongs to the romance family and are very much different from the English language’s Anglo-Saxon roots. Some of the challenges faced by the translators while performing Spanish translation have been mentioned below.

Challenge 1: The very first challenge that translators have to deal with is the fact that there is no one Spanish. Similar to how the English language is has speaking differences depending upon the geographical areas like North America, Australia, and the UK. Spanish spoken in Europe is different from what being spoken in Latin America. The majority of differences are in pronunciation but significant differences are seen in grammar structure and names of clothing items, food items, and other everyday objects as well.

Challenge 2: When a text in the English language is translated to Spanish, it is difficult to fit the entire sentence with that particular word limits. Spanish, in general, has 30% longer sentences in comparison to English. A few languages naturally have longer sentences or more number of words in a sentence and Spanish is one of them.

Challenge 3: Completely different form of grammar is the next challenge faced by the translators or the translation agencies. Because these two languages have completely different origins, the difference in their basic grammar structure differs hugely. The syntax of the sentence is different for both the languages. Spanish is a language with two genders, but still, it's not easy to understand this. Bikinis, worn by women are considered as a masculine noun in the Spanish language.

Challenge 4: English and Spanish share many common words from Latin, but they have completely different meanings in two languages. For example: Pie is a pastry in English but means foot in Spanish. The list of such kind of words is long. Details: https://www.transcription-services-us.com/Spanish-Translation-Services.php
