It contains many purificatory and immune-boosting herbs such as - Aragwadha (Cassia fistula), Shatavaha (Anethum graveolens), Tvak (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), Bala (Sida cordifolia), Syonaka (Oroxylum indicum), Eranda (Ricinus communis) and Haridra (Curcuma longa). These ‘immunity boosting herbs’ help in the treatment as well as prevention of many respiratory tract infections through its purificatory effects. All these herbs have anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial in nature which antagonize the Kapha and Vata doshas and exert a cleansing action on the air passages.
