About the Role:
We are seeking passionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to join our dynamic healthcare team at the Department of State Hospitals-Coalinga. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. Your responsibilities will include:
• Administering medications according to physicians' orders.
• Monitoring patients' vital signs and physical condition.
• Assisting with patient hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Collecting and documenting patient information.
• Participating in treatment plans and procedures.
• Maintaining a safe and clean patient environment.
• Contributing to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
• Active California LVN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of nursing principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in a forensic or psychiatric setting preferred.
