C.O.B.S Magazine is a publication that Empowers, Inspires, and Motivates women who are Bosses (CEOs) of their Brands. C.O.B.S Magazine created a platform that celebrates black-owned businesses and inspires our readers to do the same. We believe in the spirit of Excellence. In our magazine, you will meet women with incredible stories. These women went from weeping to winning, from the grind to the get it done, from their struggle to new strength and turning their pain into power.
C.O.B.S (Circle of Boss Sisters) was founded in May 2021 in Queens, New York by publisher Dr. Trevi Booker Pershay. C.O.B.S Magazine is currently an online publication and by the mid-year of 2023 the magazine will be offering printed issues and advertising. Although we do offer print publications to our subscribers, it’s by request only.
Our cover has featured some iconic Boss Sisters figures such as Meli’sa Morgan (Hit Single - Do Me Baby) R&B singers & CEO/Founder of Asilem Production, Robin S (Hit Single – Show Me Love) R&B singer & CEO/Founder of Hey Girl Hey Muzik LLC. Melissa Harville-Lebron – CEO/Owner of W.M. Stone Enterprises Inc., E-2 Northeast Motorsports, Inc. Melissa is the first black woman to own a NASCAR team.

Dr. Trevi Booker Pershay

Dr. Trevi Booker-Pershay is the epitome of a Media Mogul, and she is capable of juggling and wearing many hats. Dr. Trevi is known as an Executive Director and Producer in theater, television, videos, and film. She is a media powerhouse, creative visionary, content creator, published author, and mentor to women and youth. Dr. Trevi has built a remarkable track record for success based on her mission to produce inspirational content that positively influences, celebrates, and challenges the perspective of minorities to achieve black excellence. She is the founder of Trevi Pershay Productions, PDM Productions LLC (Music Label), and PDM Performing Arts Corporation (outreach program). In 2022, Dr. Trevi Pershay received an Honorary Doctorate Certificate in Christian Leadership and Business.
During the pandemic,Dr. Trevi started Circle of Boss Sisters as an Empowerment Online Series. The goal was to teach women who lived in New York City Housing Projects how to obtain a legit business. Trevi would invite guest panelist CEOs to share tips on how they overcame adversity in starting their own business. Suddenly, Dr. Trevi realized that her vision was being mirrored by admirers on social media platforms and it was time to level up. God reminded Trevi of her experience in magazines when she worked for Working Mother Magazine from 1986 – 1992. Dr. Trevi wanted to do more than zoom seminars to empower black women on how to jump-start their vision and C.O.B.S (Circle of Boss Sisters) Magazine was born in 2021.
The purpose of C.O.B.S Magazine is to celebrate the excellence of Black/Hispanic Women who are CEOs of their brands.
