The retailer of women’s and men’s t-shirts and apparel now leads an activism campaign through donating portions of its proceeds to animal rescues; so far, it has helped support over 50 animal welfare organizations.

July 27, 2015 – A charitable clothing company founded in 2010, Arm the Animals donates part of its proceeds from t-shirt and apparel sales to more than 50 animal welfare organizations. It has worked with several in Southern California. These donations have helped small animal welfare businesses pay for shelter, vet bills, food, and other necessities.

The charity was started following the death of the founder’s sister. A lifelong animal advocate, she had parented a dozen rescues. Arm the Animals serves as a living tribute and a platform to carry on a powerful legacy.

This mission is carried out through the sale of witty and thought-provoking t-shirts and apparel. Items include t-shirts and tank tops, and sweatshirts and hoodies. Unique designs feature dogs, cats, and other animals and statements regarding animal rights. Also, the ACTIVism wear line is now available for women. A range of collections can be browsed on the website, from stain glass designs to a collection of wild animal shirts and accessories such as sling bags, stickers, and posters. In addition, stylish products are available for kids and pets. Visitors can browse by gender, collection, or design type.

Arm the Animals has established relationships with rescue organizations across the region. It is not a non-profit organization but a legitimate apparel company. Nor is it politically motivated. The company is driven by the situations facing millions of animals and the hard work and sacrifice people running small animal care organizations go through. As many as 5 million animals are euthanized each year because people can’t care for them and the company aims to change this.

Animal welfare organizations it’s currently working with include Barks of Love, Priceless Pet Rescue, Blind Cat Rescue, Pug Rescue Club, and House Rabbit Society. Arm the Animals also maintains working relationships with Fresno Bully Rescue, New York Bully Crew, and Almost Home.

In addition to having appositive impact on millions of animals’ lives, the company aims to create a higher standard for animal advocates worldwide. To find attractively designed animal rescue clothing and help support animal welfare organizations, visit http://www.armtheanimals.com/.
