When Pfizer’s Viagra patent expired in U.S. in 2012, around 40 organizations had brought out generic alternatives in Korean market. Palpal medicine released by Hammi was then associated with the 88 age. This brand topped the sales as prescription impotence curing generic drug in Korea until now.

The market for generic medicines in Korea was approximately amounting to 100 billion won in 2014, with Cialis having largest share of 28 billion won, seconded by Palpal, grossing 18 billion won and 13 billion won was taken by Viagra.
