Being fortunate enough to survive the trauma of hurricane Sandy, Andrew Lesnak started finding ways to rebuild his life after disaster. After years of mental health treatment, he finally started to place a new value on life. Soon, he created a Community Outreach Program, to assist the victims of catastrophic events, like what he had experienced. He acts as an advocate to the suffering victims to help them provide the affordable housing and training to increase their earning capabilities.

His commitment to excellence in everything he does for the welfare of others is the best part that has enabled him to come up with the promising rewards. Motivating victims of hurricane Sandy t o fight for success, Andrew provides them with the mental health therapy that is focused on the effect of the disaster including distress, anxiety, and other psychiatric disorders.

Prior to hurricane Sandy, Andrew Lesnak had a highly successful and active lifestyle, as he had lived in a beautiful waterfront home. Immediately after the hurricane, he had fallen into a depressive state, as the reality of his situation became evident. Fortunately, he came in contact with Red Cross that provided him with the required assistance and addressed his disaster needs.

After standing on his own feet, Andrew came forward to help other victims, by volunteering his time and money through the Red Cross. By holding a strong bond with the victims of Sandy, Andrew has found this outreach to be extremely healthy and therapeutic for himself.

He soon realized that the lack of employment and homelessness had increased the rate of suicidal tendencies among the victims. Through his advocacy role, Andrew Lesnak closely interacted with every victim and listened to his pain. He assured them that it was just a phase and would pass gradually. He also encouraged them to make efforts to come out of the issues and life had a lot more to give.
