23rd March 2012 - David had recently got married to his long time girlfriend Catherine and albeit both had spent much of quality time together prior to their nuptial-knot yet honeymoon was eagerly awaited by both of them.
David had always desired to go on Nile cruise with his beloved but his meager salary wouldn’t prompt him doing so. He was not financially well off but still aspired to avail a cruise and hence would often check the latest scheme on offer with Orbital Travel.
He had made up his mind that a delay in honeymoon was acceptable but not another tour besides that long desired cruise. He had never disclosed this ardent desire to his girlfriend either and thus whenever she wanted to discuss the honeymoon topic he would slyly make some excuse. Days went by and it was close to a month now. Catherine, being unaware of what was going on his mind began to grow suspicious about his intentions.
Like most girls she too began to feel that David was not the same guy she had known all these years. She realized why girls often say that ‘boyfriends are boyfriends till they become husbands’. She began to feel that he has lost all interest in her and that she made a wrong decision of marrying him. She would sit for hours thinking of those blissful days when he wouldn’t want to be without her even for a minute.
No matter how much of time they spent together yet it felt little and David would always long for more. And now when she was there to be with him for as much time as he wanted, he was not there around. He would leave the house very early in the morning and return late night so exhausted that there was no point talking on any subject. He would be snoring within minutes of lying down on bed and she would try to sleep but her tears filled eyes won’t permit her from doing so.
Another month passed and Catherine had finally made a decision. Albeit it was a reluctant decision yet she was firm. As usual when she woke up, David was not there but a note lay beside her stating:” Sorry for the delay my sweet heart! Wanted to take you on Nile Cruise and have finally managed to book tickets with Orbital Travel”. Tears rolled down her cheeks but this time it was out of immense happiness.
