21st March 2012 - Nancy has been very fond of watching her father play golf on the golf course and she gradually developed an interest in the game. She too wanted to hold the gold club someday but she was just seven. She would often ask her dad to order golf equipments from Budget Golf as she had seen him ordering for himself earlier. But he did not seem to keen about this decision of hers and felt that’s he was too tender for such a sport.
The fondness for the game grew more and more and Nancy became more and more desperate. She would hold her father’s golf club but it was too heavy as well as her big in size for her. She wouldn’t even succeed in holding it properly. What could she do now? Was there a golf set suitable for children of her age? When would she be able to play the sport? These were some of the questions that pondered her little mind very often.
She spoke to her mother about this but she too didn’t show much interest. But when Nancy was adamant, she consoled her by saying that she would find out if golf sets for children were available. Her father too was not a professional player and had recently taken this sport as a hobby. So, he too didn’t have much knowledge and thus many days went but neither of her parents took a serious interest in this matter.
Nancy began to lose interest in other activities too and would spend much of her time watching golf being played by professionals on the sports channel on television. She was not like other children which would keep demanding for variety of things. She was very focused about what she wanted and this uniqueness did take her parents by great surprise.
They realized that it was time that they gave a serious thought to her decision. They understood that Nancy was serious about the sport and of given an opportunity she would someday make them proud by her achievements and laurels in the game.
