Surprisingly, many eats cake but they don't know or care how is done or produced.
The word toppers are extra items which are used to beautify the cake after it is made.
Most of the material used as Cake Toppers, comes from a very common thing that we may not assume.
The toppers can be made of rice, potato, vegetable leaves and a host of more to mention. The toppers can in a simple word, be called decoration on the cake.

The rice cake topper is simply done from potato starch, water and vegetable oil, after making it looks perfectly edible for human consumption. In most cases, it comes in 8 inch by 11 inch sheet that are very tiny.
It is used for cake decoration, and widely used in other various ways such as, bake and ice of cakes.
A paper sheet is laid on a hard surface, the rice paper have both the smooth and rough sides. The smooth side must be made up right, a food coloring pen is used to draw an outline or the object for its decoration.

Clear gel is used carefully, to cover the rough side of the rice paper, the rice paper is turned over, to position it on the ice cake, more gel, tubes of icing is used to out and fish the design, If other items will be added to the ice cake, additional gel are used for such.
The rice paper will break down after short time of resting on the cake; it may not fully disappear but have no effect on its production because it is tasteless and odorless with Cake Toppers.
There are other methods, of using the rice paper production as a topper in the making of the ice cakes.
