John Grasso, a leading sex crime attorney in Rhode Island, confirms it was unfortunate that Adam Yidana, a registered sex offender, followed a woman into her gym. The woman claimed the stranger followed her into her gym. She advised the staff and called the Warwick, Rhode Island Police. The man, aged twenty four, has been a registered sex offender after pleading no contest to accusations dating back to 2017 where he groped the breast of a former teacher.

As a result, this convicted sex offender is now under frequent supervision by the Rhode Island Department of Corrections. There has been a series of complaints lately against Adam Yidana, since the incident that got him registered on the sex offenders registry, the majority have not resulted in an airest. He was eighteen when he was first arrested for the sexual assault of a former teacher.

This latest incident took place in August 2023 where the woman found herself very uncomfortable. He followed her in the gym and pointed his phone at her. Fearing her safety, she saw him getting closer and his phone was pointed directly at her. When she turned to stare at him, he moved his phone away. He then followed her in the gym before she told the staff and called the police.

The man was identified by his gym membership and the responding officer discovered he was a level 2 sex offender thanks to the sex offenders registry. He was not charged with any crimes in this case, as there is no privacy expectations in an open gym environment. It also did not meet the Rhode Islands harassment or stalking laws.

He was seen walking behind the buidling and looking into the basement door that was open. This was after he was denied membership due to his sex offenders registry. Adam Yidana received mostly a suspended sentence that he is still currently serving with court records showing he was arrested and pled to an incident of indecent exposure.”
