Each person has a legacy and a story to tell. Who better to share that story than you? Looking back what memories do you want to be remembered by your loved ones? Preserving these memories in your own words is a treasure your kids, grandkids and beyond will cherish. How else will they know what it was like growing up in the 70’s, 60’s, 50’s or even the 40’s? Every decade of the 20’th century has seen major changes but the stories of love, perseverance, difficult times and lessons learned never changes. Just think of how different it was for you growing up versus your parents and now your kids? The good ole days may be gone but the electronic age has made it easier than ever to preserve your story. Finding the right website to help you create and share your legacy is crucial. Your legacy should include a variety of resources, from pictures to journals and videos.

Preserving your legacy is easy when you know what you want to communicate. Answering the right questions about your life and using pictures of life’s greatest moments such as graduation, marriage, children, vacations & holidays makes it that much easier. Using a variety of resources such as old journals, love letters, pictures or video clips will help tell your story but they must first be organized. If you are a great story teller, it would be wise to record your story using video.

When creating your legacy it may be easier over a period of time but if time is an issue recording your story in one easy onsite video shoot is the next best thing. The key is to find out what works for you and then get to it because creating your legacy is a worthy invest of your time. Take the time to contemplate your legacy, your life and what you learned and wish to preserve. No one knows the day or the hour that they will die. Therefore, it is better to take time now to preserve your legacy than to wait until it’s too late.

The truth is everybody wants to be remembered by the good things they did with their life. Taking the time to create your legacy will help you accomplish this and can directly influence the way future generations will remember you. Your experiences, thoughts, lessons and advice can all be summed up and preserved in a single place but it depends on you and your willingness to get started. Nothing worth doing is easy and the first step may be the hardest but in your heart you know it’s worthwhile and that if you do nothing your legacy and your kids heritage may be lost forever.
